A portion of the 2nd Annual Asia Food Fest proceeds will benefit Dr. Foo
Swasdee's favorite international and local charities the Thai Tsunami Orphanages
and The Arc of Texas - a statewide non-profit that works to ensure that all
children and adults with developmental disabilities can flourish with their
families and in their communities. Dr. Foo Swasdee owns Satay Restaurant in
Austin, Texas.
Thai Tsunami Orphanage - Every year, Dr. Foo Swasdee fundraises to help build an orphanage for Thailands youngest tsunami victims. Believe it or not, even though it has now been a few years, the people of Thailand are still working very hard to recover from the devastation in 2004. The Arc of Texas is the states oldest and largest nonprofit, volunteer organization committed to creating opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to be included in their communities and to make choices that affect their lives. The Arc supports families, advances public policies, provides training programs, and build a statewide network of advocates. For more information about The Arc of Texas visit www.TheArcOfTexas.org.
